GCH is located in a rural area of Greene County, Alabama with a population of less than 9,000. You may be saying to yourself “what is GCH”. Well GCH is the culmination of the Greene County Physician Clinic, the Greene County Nursing Home, and Greene County Hospital. It is the combination of a host of talented individuals working together to bring numerous skills to the healthcare component of Greene County. Our goal reflects many ideas for the future growth and development of GCH as well as the Greene County community to enable us to provide the best healthcare experience to anyone that graces our doorways. It is essential that GCH participates in continuous transformation to “improve the patient’s experience”. We may be small but we have big things to offer, which includes:

Build hope against breast cancer with early detection. Breast self-exams should be done routinely while at home, by women of all ages. Doing these self-exams will help you to be familiar with how your breasts look and feel. If you notice any changes, alert your primary care provider immediately. All women should also have routine exams done by their primary care provider.
The Greene County Residential Care Center is a 72 bed licensed Skilled Nursing Facility. Our objective is to provide 24 hour skilled nursing services to individuals who are either no longer able to thrive at home, or need impatient rehabilitation services to enhance functional performance and safety skills to allow them to return home and prosper in their home environment.
